New Delhi: BSE Institute (BIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bombay Stock Exchange, Mumbai and National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at the campus of NUALS campus.
The MoU was signed by Ambarish Datta, MD and CEO of BIL and NK Jayakumar, VC, NUALS. The aim of the MoU is to offer multiple programs in financial and securities law. Knowledge of financial and securities law will not only protect large and small investors, but also help in providing a superior regulatory regime.
Ambarish Datta, of BIL said, "Since BSE is playing a role in the Indian securities landscape as a financial infrastructure provider, it is important for us to create awareness of financial law and provide the knowledge and skills required to ensure these laws are duly adhered to and the interests of the retail investor are protected. We hope that through this collaboration we can build knowledge and skills in the legal aspects of finance by jointly designing, developing and conducting training programs, seminars and other vehicles of knowledge dissemination."
NK Jayakumar of NUALS said, "The collaboration with the BSE Institute will equip the students of NUALS to have wider exposure and knowledge in finance related legal matters."
