Hello! My new washing machine has a key symbol in red and the door won't open. Is there an approach to reset the way to evacuate the laundry? Does the key image mean that I need to contact a professional?

The key symbol indicates whether the door is ready to be opened or not. When the key is shown in red, it means that the door is locked, you cannot open it. When there is no red light on the key, the door can be opened.

I have this for the door lock. My front loader door locks during a wash cycle, and if you need to stop the machine in the middle of a cycle, you have to wait for the water to drain, and then press the unlock button to open the door.

Hello, I once had exactly the same problem with my washing machine. A friend advised me about the Howly articles section which provides online advice. The specialist there explained to me that the key symbol on the washing machine is a light that tells you when the door is locked or unlocked. When the key is red, the door is locked. When the key is off, the door can be opened. Do not use brute force, you could break the lock!
