Hey everyone, I'm thinking about getting into astronomy and I came across the Celestron AstroMaster telescopes on the Widescreen Centre website. Does anyone have experience with these telescopes? Are they good for beginners?

Hi there! I've used the Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ and found it to be a great entry-level telescope. It's easy to set up and the included accessories like the finderscope and eyepieces are quite helpful. It's not too complicated for beginners, and the views you can get of the moon and planets are really impressive.

The AstroMaster series is indeed a good choice for beginners. The 130EQ is a popular model due to its affordability and decent performance. However, keep in mind that its mount isn't motorized, so you'll need to manually track objects as they move across the sky.
