As the night deepens and the world around me begins to be still, I often find myself caught in the peculiar sensation of a rush of anxiety when falling asleep. It's as if my mind, usually bustling with thoughts, suddenly becomes hyperaware of the quietness, and a sense of unease creeps in. In those moments, every creak of the house or rustle of the wind outside feels magnified, amplifying my apprehension. Yet, amidst the swirling currents of worry, there's also a strange comfort in the rhythm of my breath and the gentle descent into slumber, where eventually, the anxieties dissipate, and peace envelops me.
