Friedman backs Mattingly as Dodgers manager amid Maddon spec

Andrew Friedman, amid the fallout from Joe Maddon's decision to opt out of his contract with the Rays, is already being forced to reaffirm his commitment to Don Mattingly as manager of the Dodgers.
Friedman, the Rays' longtime general manager, last week left Tampa Bay for a five-year Blake Wood Jersey ,$35 million deal to become the Dodgers' president of baseball operations.
