When it comes to getting where you need to go in World of Warcraft Classic, flying is without a doubt one of the quickest and most dependable methods, and the Burning Crusade Classic expansion offers even more options than before.
One of the most exciting aspects of World of Warcraft's Burning Crusade Classic is that players will be able to obtain flying mounts for the first time ever (at least outside of retail).

This literally opens up a whole new dimension of Azeroth and the Outland for players to explore in the game, but if you thought regular mounts were expensive, just wait until you see how much WOW TBC classic gold these will set you back.

For those who cannot afford a flying mount at this time, the flight paths for each faction provide an alternate mode of transportation. There are also other methods of becoming airborne, which we will discuss further below.

Flight Paths of the Alliance and Horde
If you've ever played World of Warcraft Classic Vanilla, Shadowlands, or any of the other retail expansions, you're probably familiar with the Flight Masters that are scattered throughout the world for both Horde and Alliance players to interact with.

Following a conversation with any of them, you will be able to fly for a small fee to any other Flight Master you have unlocked on the same continent, significantly reducing travel times. The only catch is that you won't be able to fly to a Flight Master until you speak with them directly, so make it a point to speak with them as soon as you enter a new zone.

Griffins, Hippogriffs, Bats, and Wyverns will only take you so far, as they are unable to transport you from one continent to another. If you want to travel to the Outlands, you'll need to board a boat and travel between Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, or you'll need to pass through the Dark Portal.

The price and requirements for World of Warcraft Classic flying mounts
Flight mounts were first introduced in The Burning Crusade, the first expansion released in the game's history, and players who have been grinding through Classic are finally able to take to the skies themselves for what feels like the first time in a long time.

Before you can fly, you must complete three tasks, the first of which is reaching level 70. Once that is completed, you can train to fly on either Normal or Epic flying mounts before purchasing your flying steed. The mounts range in price from 100 to 1000 WoW gold Classic, but it is the training that will set you apart, costing 1000 WoW gold TBC for normal and 5000 gold for Epic.

- Normal flying training weighs 800 grams.
- Normal flying mounts weigh 100 grams.
- 5,000g of epic flying training
- Epic flying mount weighing 1,000 grams
You can, however, significantly lower these costs if you establish a positive reputation with the faction that controls the city in which your preferred flight trainer is located.

So, what exactly is the difference between Epic and Normal flying mounts? As with traditional mounts, they have an effect on how fast you can move, with Normal granting a 60% speed boost and Epic granting a 100% speed boost.

If you don't want to spend that much money, there is another option available — at least for some players.

How to fly in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic on a shoestring budget
However, if you want to fly earlier than everyone else and without spending thousands of WoW TBC gold, there is an alternative method. Only Druids, however, are able to take advantage of this.

Druids can learn Flying Form as soon as they reach level 68, which allows them to transform into their own flying mount for the low, low price of only 8 WoW Classic gold and 60 silver. There is also an "Epic" flying form that provides a 100% speed increase, but completing the questline to unlock it will still require 5000 TBC gold.

Choosing Druid is an easy choice if you want to soar through the air while your guildmates and friends are still slithering around on the ground like some kind of snake or worm.

Parachute Cloak from World of Warcraft's classic era
We know what you're thinking: "Dexerto, the Parachute Cloak doesn't actually allow you to fly; it only allows you to glide," and you're completely correct. In any case, it's an interesting item that you can pick up and use at level 45, long before you get a flying mount.

All you need is level 225 Engineering (or a friend who has it), the recipe, and the necessary materials, and you'll be good to go! No, you won't be able to fly wherever you want, but fall damage will be eliminated, which is especially beneficial if you enjoy playing Battlegrounds PvP.

That's pretty much all there is to know about flying in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. We'll see you in the skies beyond the Dark Portal if you've saved up enough World of Warcraft Classic gold (unless you're a druid, of course).
